Intro

 Whilst most of Trust Payments are working from home at present due to local guidelines, our Covid secure offices have still been open for people that can’t work from home. Main purpose of the job:

Provide overall legal support within the global legal department focusing on global payments processing laws and regulations while working to further the company’s overall culture of legal compliance.

Duties and responsibilities:

 •   Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating, third-party customer, supplier, financial, and other contracts on behalf of the company

•   Working alongside with and providing counsel to all areas within the company on a variety of legal issues

•   Advising executives within the company other departments within the company on

•   Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different

•   Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company

•   Providing training to the company on legal topics

•   Help the legal team grow by providing appropriate governance, templates and implementing new processes

•   Work in a highly autonomous matrix structure, with multiple stakeholders and assist on an array of interesting subjects

•   Assist with helping Trust Payments grow and set up new overseas legal entities

•   Translate legal theories and ideas into practical actions

•   Support the global payments risk, compliance, and commercial functions

Experience and Qualifications:

 •   Must have a law degree from a recognized university

•   Must be admitted to a recognized bar

•   Must have 2-5 years of experience gained in large law firm and/or in-house with major firm

•   Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization

•   Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues

•   Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization’s legal department and across all departments within the business

•   Ability to work independently with little or no supervision while meeting varied deadlines

•   Experience in payments or financial services preferred but not required
